What is Periodontology?
Periodontists spend at least 3 extra years in school to receive extensive training in periodontal disease, dental implants, and other specialty surgeries. We often treat more complex cases like missing teeth, gum disease, or a complex medical history. Many periodontal issues can be managed by your general dentist, but some treatments may necessitate a greater understanding and increased level of expertise by a trained specialist. We work in partnership with you and your dentist to provide the optimal treatment plan.

Meet the Team
Dr. Tony Dacy
DDS, MS
Dr. Dacy has conducted award winning research and led numerous dental organizations. He runs six generations deep in Boerne and loves living on his farm with his wife and 3 daughters.
Dr. Mitchell Ponsford
DMD, MS
Dr. Ponsford has authored research articles and book chapters on dental implants, and he hosts CE courses for dental colleagues. He loves flying airplanes and exploring Texas with his wife and 2 sons.
Dr. Francisco Curiel
DDS, MS
Dr. Curiel has a true passion for dental implant therapy, having completed dental school, 2 residencies, and an implant fellowship. He enjoys learning and exploring all that Texas has to offer with his wife and 2 children.
Dr. Angie Synatzske
DDS, MS
Dr. Synatzske is a veteran of the US Air Force. She has taught and trained periodontists who now practice all over the world. She enjoys time with her 3 daughters in the Texas Hill Country.
