This part of our practice involves the diagnosis and treatment of conditions and diseases of the oral cavity other than inflammatory periodontal disease. Many of these conditions are primary to the mouth, while others are the indication or manifestation of medical disease in some other part of the body. The most commonly treated oral conditions include Lichen Planus, Pemphigoid, Pemphigus, Oral Allergies, Oral Yeast Infections, and Oral Cancer. Often, oral medicine is a joint collaborative effort with internal medicine, pathology, infectious disease and other specialty physicians.
